Feng Chen Wang Invited to Present at Apple's 50th Anniversary Special Event for Brand's 10th Anniversary.
From Behind the Mac in London 2020 to celebrating Apples 50th Anniversary celebration in 2026: A Continuation of a Six-Year Creative Partnership.
On March 27, 2026, Apple's 50th anniversary celebrations landed in Shanghai, and Feng Chen Wang, founder and designer, was invited as a special presenter to showcase a special 10th anniversary project at Apple's Jing'an venue. This was an exclusive one of presentation in China to feature a fashion designer during Apple's global 50th anniversary celebrations.
This collaboration was not accidental. In 2020, Feng Chen Wang was invited as a fashion designer representative to participate in Apple's Behind the Mac UK Creative People series. Six years after the event, the two parties have once again come together, presenting an extraordinary show at Apple's Jing’an location.
Apple has driven technological change with its "Think Different" philosophy for half a century; Feng Chen Wang has spent ten years forging a unique path for Chinese designers between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design.
Traditional Fujian plant dyeing techniques have been transformed into a modern futuristic design system. A graduate of the Royal College of Art has been a firm fixture within the official schedule of Paris Fashion Week and designed the uniforms for the flag bearers of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. Their handcrafted plant-dyed, bamboo-woven, and bamboo-bag collections have been permanently collected by the V&A Museum. This path itself is the most vivid testament to "Think Different."
The day before this monumentous event (March 26th), Feng Chen Wang held her 10th anniversary show, "Life and Love," at Shanghai Fashion Week, marking the brand's first independent show in China in ten years. The show's theme, the same as her first collection launched in 2015, symbolises a perfect return to the origins after ten years.
Feng Chen Wang stated, "In 2020, 'Behind the Mac' was the first time Apple showed the world what I looked like working in front of a computer. Six years later, to meet the brand's 10th anniversary and Apple's 50th anniversary feels like a complete circle. I believe that truly valuable creation comes from respect for tradition and imagination for the future." About Feng Chen Wang: Born in Fujian, China, and based in London and Shanghai, Feng Chen Wang is a leading figure in China's new generation of fashion.
Feng’s designs blend traditional craftsmanship, innovative techniques, and deconstructionism. Her brand has been showcased on a global stage across New York, London, and Paris Fashion Weeks, and was shortlisted for the LVMH Prize and the International Woolmark Prize.
