FENG CHEN WANG 10th ANNIVERSARY SHANGHAI FASHION WEEK FW26 RUNWAY

"Two as One": Building a Complete Brand Universe in the Name of "Life and Love"

Marking its 10th anniversary, Chinese designer Feng Chen Wang presents a milestone show at ShanghaiFashion Week.

Under the theme "Two as One", founder and creative director Feng Chen Wang distilled a decade ofdesign philosophy into an immersive catwalk blending fashion, art installations, dance performances, and live music. The show continues the "Two Forces" narrative from the Fall/Winter 2026 collectionshown in Paris, and for the first time unveiled a complete womenswear line, showcasing the brand'sexpansion from genderless design into a broader feminine community.

The 10th anniversary celebration is anchored by the core theme "Life and Love" a concept that originated with the brand's first collection from the Royal College of Art where Feng graduated. Her2015/2016 final project series was a heartfelt tribute to her father, exploring the most fundamental bonds and the power of love in life. A decade later, "Life and Love" returns with greater resonance, becoming the emotional thread that runs through all anniversary programming.

Debuting a Complete Womenswear Line: Growing from Common Ground, Defining Through Difference

Rather than starting from scratch, the womenswear line has grown organically from the brand's decade of menswear DNA. Its signature deconstructive tailoring and fabric innovations found new expression in womenswear.

Menswear and womenswear share a common structural language and craftsmanship. The show's styling has adhered closely to the "Two Forces" philosophy with models appear in pairs, wearing mirroring garments, powerfully reinforcing the foundation of her genderless ethos that has defined Feng Chen Wang.

However, womenswear develops its own distinct character from the shared foundation. It retains the brand's signature sense of strength while introducing fluid lines into structured silhouettes, leaving room for emotion within rational tailoring.

This season's womenswear includes both sharply tailored suits that continue the menswear's structured language and flowing coats rendered in soft knits and silk with hard and soft coexisting, reason and emotion interwoven. Each piece carries forward the brand's aesthetic of "the harmony of imperfection". Raw edges deliberately preserved in deconstructive tailoring become marks of time; subtle tonal variations from fabric washing make each garment uniquely its own.

These details together form the distinctive identity o f Feng Chen Wang's womenswear, not an attempt to define what women should be, but clothing for every authentic feminine existence. Powerful when strength is called for, tender when softness is needed, equally suited to striding into the world in a tailored suit or retreating inward i n a naturally dyed long dress.

London to Shanghai, from that first collection to this 10th anniversary celebration, a decade of time crystallied into a show both a retrospective and a new beginning.
