Joining forces for a third global collaboration, Southern California-based global lifestyle brand UGG® and London- and Shanghai-based designer Feng Chen Wang have expanded upon previous seasons with the launch of its Autumn/Winter 2022 collection.
Bringing about the iconic UGG® DNA with the Chinese designer’s multidimensional aesthetic, the co-branded capsule debuts a mix of bold, hybrid apparel styles in core UGG® cold-weather staples alongside updated footwear.
This season’s concept blockbuster uses technical means to construct four modern cities around the world – from New York in the morning, Paris at sunrise, London in the afternoon, and Shanghai at night – breaking the boundaries of time and distance to tell the story of the world in the post- pandemic era.
Exploring the connection and co-existence between communities in a virtual city, the models featured in the campaign are integrated into urban scenes that are both real and illusionary –
a representation of the Metaverse, which has been present in Chinese philosophy for centuries and instrumental in shaping both artistic thought and expression in China.
New this season, the gender-neutral collection comprises apparels for the first time, in continuation of Feng Chen Wang’s design core of deconstruction and three-in-one functionality. The collection features modular elements such as detachable sleeves and boot liners, encouraging an experimental approach for all seasons.
