Kicking off London Fashion Week in style, we welcomed a host of press and friends of the brand at Feng Chen Wang Residency: London to celebrate our 7-year anniversary on Thursday. With cocktails and dim sum canapés in full flow, guests were given a preview of our exhibition showcasing our milestones and pop-up store offering our latest Spring Summer 23 collection, archives and collection with our collaborators Canada Goose, Converse and UGG, with Eastern Margin’s Khalisha setting the mood for the night of reunion and celebration.
Set across three floors of the townhouse on 189 Piccadilly, visitors are greeted by bamboo huts housing the brand’s newly launched Spring Summer 2023 collection as well as the Autumn Winter 2022 collection. The super-sized bamboo bag takes the spotlight among the ‘Traveling Bamboo Bag’ exhibition featuring photography works by Markn in London, Luke Paige in Sicily and Michael Zhao in China. The basement space showcased Feng’s curation of archived runways looks from her debut collection, epochal ‘Made in China’ and 2020 International Woolmark Prize collection, while the first floor houses the label’s archive selection from Spring Summer 2017 to Autumn Winter 2021 alongside collaborations with Canada Goose, Converse and UGG.
Visitors also joined Feng Chen Wang for a bamboo workshop, a community-led initiative offering complimentary customisations for our iconic bamboo bag. With a range of dead-stock fabric from past collections, metallic embellishments and phoenix stencils to explore with, the session, hosted by Feng also gave her an opportunity to engage with the London community in-person.
“It felt so good to be physically part of a conversation, culturally and stylistically.”
