TUNJINSHOU CREATURE
At the Feng Chen Wang Fall/Winter 2025 collection show, brand creative director Wang Fengchen specially invited her close friend Victor Ma (Ma Boqian) to join her at Paris Fashion Week. Together, they brought to life a mystical creature from the ancient texts of the “Classic of Mountains and Seas”(Shan Hai Jing). This creature, initially crafted as a hand-sculpted ceramic piece by the brand in collaboration with Jingdezhen artisans, was later recreated through 3D scanning, printing, and hand-painting. Victor Ma made a striking appearance on the Paris runway, holding a bright yellow-glazed ceramic artwork of the divine beast.
The two friends jointly imbued it with a modern interpretation, naming it the "Gold-Devouring Beast," which symbolizes wealth, happiness, authority, courage, peace, and joy. The "Gold-Devouring Beast" boasts a flowing, luminous body covered in intricate golden fish scales, with deep amber eyes that seem to perceive the passage of time. Proud and independent, it roams between ruins and rivers of gold, devouring extravagance. Each step it takes represents purity and freedom, refined by the passage of time.
